A quarterly REI Co-op publication.

"Uncommon Path is dedicated to exploring the ideas, issues and experiences that shape the relationship between people and nature. It's a relationship that can inspire great joy—and also serious concern. As a community, we're at our best when we play together, and when we work together to protect the wild places we love."

With my tight knit team including an Editor, Art Director and Project Manager, I focused my attention on designing the Equipment Section (the back half) of Issue 2 + 3 of Uncommon Path. I cherished and deeply appreciated the close collaboration between the design side and the writing side of this editorial work. It will be an experience I will never forget. The design of each issue was a clear progression from previous issues—always expanding the perspective and approachability and continuously finding ways to develop deeper storytelling and intrigue amongst technical gear reviews and gear testing.
